Getting your statement out of ANZ
ANZ (Australia) lets you view and save statements from up to seven years ago in both ANZ Internet Banking and the ANZ App, and generate short-range transaction reports when statements don't cover what you need. Transaction downloads support CSV plus formats aimed at common accounting packages.
View and save statements in ANZ Internet Banking or the ANZ App
- Log in to ANZ Internet Banking or the ANZ App.
- Go to the statements section for your account.
- Choose the statement period — you can view your latest statement or one from up to seven years ago.
- Open the statement and save the PDF.
Generate a Transaction Report for recent activity
- Open the ANZ App and select the account.
- Choose the Transaction Report option.
- Pick a period of the last 30, 60, 90 or 120 days.
- Download the generated report.
ANZ offers this for most deposit accounts when statements don't line up with the date range you need.
Download transactions for accounting software
- Log in to ANZ Internet Banking on a desktop.
- Open the account's transaction view and choose the download option.
- Select the date range and the file type for your software.
- Download the file.
Menu wording shifts between app versions; the destinations above stay stable — confirm against ANZ's official help. Statements up to 5 MB / 5,000 rows are supported; card numbers are redacted before storage, the original file is deleted within 24 hours, and reports stay in your dashboard only as long as your plan keeps them.
What ANZ gives you natively
Statements are PDFs. ANZ Internet Banking's transaction download offers CSV for spreadsheets along with file types built for commonly used accounting packages — ANZ's support material references formats suited to packages such as MYOB, Quicken, Agrimaster and Phoenix Gateway. Note that ANZ Plus, ANZ's newer app-based banking, handles statements in its own app and does not offer the same transaction file exports as classic ANZ Internet Banking.
How far back you can go
ANZ states you can view your latest statement or one from up to seven years ago through both the ANZ App and Internet Banking. Transaction Reports cover only the last 30 to 120 days, and past payments in Internet Banking are navigable for around 120 days, so the statement archive is the source for anything older. For records beyond seven years you must contact ANZ, and retrieval of archived vouchers or statements can be charged under ANZ's fees for paper-based services.
ANZ statement quirks worth knowing
- Payments received via PayID/Osko settle near-instantly and carry the payer's description text on the statement line, which can be long free-form text rather than a tidy reference.
- BPAY payments list the biller name with biller code and reference — the statement shows who was paid through BPAY, not the underlying bank account.
- Card transactions include the merchant name and a location suffix, and foreign-currency purchases add conversion detail lines that need careful handling when parsing statements.
- ANZ vs ANZ Plus matters: the two run separate apps and statement areas, so the export options and statement layout depend on which side your account sits.
Don't just convert it — understand it
The same upload also produces a full analysis of your ANZstatement: every merchant identified with confidence levels, subscriptions with renewal estimates and yearly cost, duplicate and price-rise flags, bank & FX fees, and a printable report. That's the part a plain converter can't do.

Frequently asked questions
How do I download an ANZ statement as a PDF?
Log in to ANZ Internet Banking or the ANZ App, open the statements section for the account, choose the period and save the PDF. Statements from up to seven years ago are available in both channels.
Can I export ANZ transactions to CSV?
Yes — ANZ Internet Banking's transaction download includes CSV along with formats for common accounting packages. If your account is with ANZ Plus, statement PDFs are available in the ANZ Plus app but spreadsheet-style exports are not offered the same way.
What if my ANZ statement doesn't cover the dates I need?
Generate a Transaction Report in the ANZ App for the last 30, 60, 90 or 120 days. For older periods, use the statement archive, which reaches back seven years.
How do I get ANZ statements older than seven years?
They are no longer available through Internet Banking, so you need to contact ANZ to request archived records. This is a manual retrieval process and fees can apply under ANZ's paper-services fee schedule.
How do I convert a ANZ statement to CSV or Excel?
Download a statement from your ANZ app or online banking (PDF or CSV both work), upload it above, and download the result as CSV, Excel, QIF, OFX or JSON. Every transaction is parsed, and merchants are identified automatically.
Does it work with ANZ PDF statements?
Yes. Structured exports are parsed exactly; PDF layouts go through AI structure analysis, and scanned PDFs are read page-by-page with AI vision — every date and amount is re-validated by code afterwards.
Is my statement safe?
Card and account numbers are redacted before anything is stored, the original file is deleted within 24 hours on every plan, analysed reports stay in your dashboard only for your plan's retention period (24 hours on Free), and we never ask for your bank login.
Is it free?
Converting a statement is free with an account (1 page per 24 hours). Paid plans add more pages, bulk uploads and AI web research on stubborn merchants.
