Getting your statement out of SoFi
SoFi generates a monthly PDF statement for its combined Checking and Savings account, generally available within the first 5 business days of each month, and offers a genuine CSV transaction export — but only on the website, not in the app. SoFi Invest and loan products keep their documents in their own separate sections.
Download a statement (web)
- Log in at sofi.com.
- On your Banking homepage, click Statements.
- Pick the month and year.
- View or download the PDF.
Download a statement (app)
- Open the SoFi app and tap your Checking or Savings account.
- Tap Documents.
- Pick the month.
- Tap Download.
Export transactions to CSV (web only)
- Log in at sofi.com in a browser.
- Open your Checking and Savings transactions.
- Choose the date range you want — SoFi caps a single export at a 2-year span.
- Click Export and the CSV downloads in your browser.
SoFi's support article states this export is not available in the app.
Menu wording shifts between app versions; the destinations above stay stable — confirm against SoFi's official help. Statements up to 5 MB / 5,000 rows are supported; card numbers are redacted before storage, the original file is deleted within 24 hours, and reports stay in your dashboard only as long as your plan keeps them.
What SoFi gives you natively
Statements are PDFs, in both the app and on the web. Transactions export as CSV from the website only — SoFi's help center says the chosen date range for one export cannot exceed 2 years and that the feature is not available via the app. SoFi does not advertise QFX, OFX, or QIF downloads for Checking and Savings, so accounting-software users work from the CSV. SoFi Invest statements are separate, found under the Statement and Tax Forms section of the Invest account.
How far back you can go
SoFi's help center describes monthly statements posting within the first 5 business days of each month, and the CSV export lets you pull up to a 2-year date range per file — run multiple exports for longer periods. SoFi doesn't publish a hard limit on how many years of statements stay visible in the Statements list; treat the statement archive as the durable record and download PDFs for anything you need to keep long-term.
SoFi statement quirks worth knowing
- SoFi Checking and Savings is one combined account product, so a single monthly statement covers both balances — there's no separate savings statement to hunt for.
- The CSV export is desktop-web only, which surprises app-first users; the app handles statement PDFs but not transaction files.
- SoFi spans banking, investing, and lending under one login, and each product keeps documents in its own section — Invest statements live under Statement and Tax Forms, not with banking statements.
- SoFi's Relay feature has its own separate export for transactions from external linked accounts, which is easy to confuse with the Checking and Savings export.
Don't just convert it — understand it
The same upload also produces a full analysis of your SoFistatement: every merchant identified with confidence levels, subscriptions with renewal estimates and yearly cost, duplicate and price-rise flags, bank & FX fees, and a printable report. That's the part a plain converter can't do.

Frequently asked questions
How do I download my SoFi bank statement?
On the web, log in and click Statements on your Banking homepage, then pick the month. In the app, tap your Checking or Savings account, tap Documents, pick the month, and tap Download.
Can I export SoFi transactions to CSV?
Yes, but only on sofi.com in a browser — choose your date range and click Export. One export covers at most a 2-year span, and SoFi says the feature isn't available in the app.
When does my SoFi monthly statement come out?
SoFi says the Checking and Savings statement is generally available within the first 5 business days of each month.
Why is my savings activity on the same statement as checking?
SoFi Checking and Savings is a single combined account product, so one monthly statement covers both — that's expected, not an error.
How do I convert a SoFi statement to CSV or Excel?
Download a statement from your SoFi app or online banking (PDF or CSV both work), upload it above, and download the result as CSV, Excel, QIF, OFX or JSON. Every transaction is parsed, and merchants are identified automatically.
Does it work with SoFi PDF statements?
Yes. Structured exports are parsed exactly; PDF layouts go through AI structure analysis, and scanned PDFs are read page-by-page with AI vision — every date and amount is re-validated by code afterwards.
Is my statement safe?
Card and account numbers are redacted before anything is stored, the original file is deleted within 24 hours on every plan, analysed reports stay in your dashboard only for your plan's retention period (24 hours on Free), and we never ask for your bank login.
Is it free?
Converting a statement is free with an account (1 page per 24 hours). Paid plans add more pages, bulk uploads and AI web research on stubborn merchants.
