Getting your statement out of Varo Bank
Varo is a mobile-app-only bank: statements are reached inside the app from the Accounts page by opening an account's Details and choosing Account statements, then picking the year and month. There is no desktop banking site to log in to, and statements are the only document Varo produces.
View a statement (app)
- Open the Varo app and go to the Accounts page.
- Tap Varo Bank Account or Varo Savings Account.
- Tap Details (top right), then Account statements.
- Choose the year and month of the statement you want.
These steps come from Varo's own help center article on finding bank account statements.
Save, print, or email a statement
- Open the statement in the app.
- Tap the Share icon in the top right corner.
- Choose to save the PDF, print it, or email it to yourself or a recipient.
Get spreadsheet data
- Download or share the PDF statements for the months you need.
- Convert the PDFs to CSV/Excel with an external tool — Varo itself offers no data export.
Menu wording shifts between app versions; the destinations above stay stable — confirm against Varo Bank's official help. Statements up to 5 MB / 5,000 rows are supported; card numbers are redacted before storage, the original file is deleted within 24 hours, and reports stay in your dashboard only as long as your plan keeps them.
What Varo Bank gives you natively
PDF only, and only through the app. Varo offers no CSV, Excel, QFX, OFX, or QIF export of transactions, and third-party converter guides describe Varo as among the most locked-down banks for data export — no structured formats and no accounting-software file support at all. The Share icon on a statement is the whole export story: it moves the PDF off your phone by save, print, or email.
How far back you can go
Varo's statement picker is organized by year and month, so you scroll to older periods within the app rather than requesting them elsewhere. Varo doesn't publish a specific number of months or years of statement availability on its public help pages. Because everything lives inside the app, losing app access means losing self-serve statement access too — email yourself the PDFs for any months that matter, and contact Varo support if you need statements you can no longer reach.
Varo Bank statement quirks worth knowing
- There is no desktop online banking — every statement retrieval happens on a phone, so getting files onto a computer means the Share icon (email or save to cloud storage).
- Varo Bank Account and Varo Savings Account each have their own statements — you open each account's Details separately rather than getting one combined document.
- Varo is a nationally chartered bank (unlike partner-bank fintechs), so statements carry Varo Bank's own name — one less explanation needed for landlords and lenders.
- With zero structured export options, any bookkeeping, tax, or loan-application workflow runs entirely on converting the PDF statements.
Don't just convert it — understand it
The same upload also produces a full analysis of your Varo Bankstatement: every merchant identified with confidence levels, subscriptions with renewal estimates and yearly cost, duplicate and price-rise flags, bank & FX fees, and a printable report. That's the part a plain converter can't do.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get my bank statement from Varo?
In the Varo app, go to the Accounts page, tap Varo Bank Account or Varo Savings Account, tap Details in the top right, then Account statements, and choose the year and month.
Can I download Varo statements on a computer?
Not directly — Varo has no desktop banking site. Open the statement in the app and use the Share icon to email the PDF to yourself or save it to cloud storage, then grab it from your computer.
Does Varo have a CSV or Excel export?
No. Varo provides statements only as PDFs and offers no CSV, Excel, or Quicken-style export. To get spreadsheet data you must convert the PDF statements with an outside tool.
How do I print or email a Varo statement?
Open the statement in the app and tap the Share icon in the top right corner — from there you can print it or email it straight from your phone.
How do I convert a Varo Bank statement to CSV or Excel?
Download a statement from your Varo Bank app or online banking (PDF or CSV both work), upload it above, and download the result as CSV, Excel, QIF, OFX or JSON. Every transaction is parsed, and merchants are identified automatically.
Does it work with Varo Bank PDF statements?
Yes. Structured exports are parsed exactly; PDF layouts go through AI structure analysis, and scanned PDFs are read page-by-page with AI vision — every date and amount is re-validated by code afterwards.
Is my statement safe?
Card and account numbers are redacted before anything is stored, the original file is deleted within 24 hours on every plan, analysed reports stay in your dashboard only for your plan's retention period (24 hours on Free), and we never ask for your bank login.
Is it free?
Converting a statement is free with an account (1 page per 24 hours). Paid plans add more pages, bulk uploads and AI web research on stubborn merchants.
