How to cancel your Apple TV+ subscription

Apple TV+ is billed through your Apple Account, so you cancel it in Apple's subscription settings rather than inside the TV app itself. The charge appears on statements as a generic APPLE.COM/BILL line shared with every other Apple subscription and purchase, which is why many people cannot tell what the charge is for. If you subscribed through Google Play or Amazon instead of Apple, you must cancel through that store.

On your statement it usually appears as APPLE.COM/BILL, APPLE.COM/BILL 866-712-7753, ITUNES.COM/BILL (older statements). Not sure the charge is really Apple TV+? Identify it first.

On an iPhone, iPad, or other Apple device

Open the Settings app and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap Apple TV+ (or an Apple One bundle if that is how you pay).
Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm. You may need to scroll down to find the button.

If you see Apple One instead of Apple TV+, your TV+ access is part of the bundle - cancelling the bundle cancels everything in it.

On the web (tv.apple.com)

Go to tv.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.
Select the account icon at the top of the page, then choose Settings.
Scroll to Subscriptions and choose Manage.
Choose Cancel Subscription and confirm.

If you subscribed through Google Play (Android/Google TV)

Open the Apple TV app on your Android device, or go to play.google.com.
Open your Google Play subscriptions list.
Select the Apple TV subscription and cancel it there.

Apple confirms Google Play-billed subscriptions can only be cancelled through Google Play or the Apple TV app on Android - not through Apple's own settings.

If you subscribed through Amazon

Sign in to your Amazon account.
Open your memberships and subscriptions list.
Find Apple TV and cancel the subscription there.

Refunds, timing and what you'll still be charged

Cancelling stops the next renewal; you normally keep access until the end of the current billing period, and Apple does not automatically prorate the unused portion. If you believe you were charged in error, you can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, where Apple reviews requests case by case - refunds are not guaranteed. Apple also emails an invoice for every APPLE.COM/BILL charge, which is the fastest way to confirm what a specific charge was for.

Watch out for these

The statement descriptor APPLE.COM/BILL is shared by every Apple subscription and App Store purchase, so the charge you want to stop may not actually be Apple TV+ - check reportaproblem.apple.com before cancelling.
Deleting the Apple TV app does not cancel the subscription; only cancelling in subscription settings stops billing.
If Apple TV+ came free with a device or carrier promotion, it converts to a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel first.
If you pay through Google Play or Amazon, cancelling in Apple's settings is not possible - you must cancel with the store that bills you.

Cancellation flows change — confirm against Apple TV+'s current account or help page (official help).

After you cancel: make sure it stuck

Check Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions (or tv.apple.com settings) and confirm Apple TV+ shows an expiry date rather than a renewal date.
Look for Apple's cancellation confirmation email on the address tied to your Apple Account.
After your access end date, check the next statement for any new APPLE.COM/BILL charge and match it against reportaproblem.apple.com if one appears.
Generate a paper trail with the free cancellation-letter tool — useful if billing continues and you need proof.

Why is Apple still charging me after I deleted the Apple TV app?

Deleting an app never cancels an Apple subscription. Billing only stops when you cancel in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on an Apple device or via tv.apple.com. Until then the subscription renews normally.

What is the APPLE.COM/BILL charge on my bank statement?

It is Apple's shared billing descriptor for App Store purchases and subscriptions, including Apple TV+. Apple does not use a separate descriptor for TV+. Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com to see exactly which purchase or subscription each charge maps to.

Do I lose Apple TV+ immediately when I cancel?

Usually no - you keep access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, then the subscription simply does not renew. Cancelling during a free trial can end access sooner.

I can't find Apple TV+ in my Apple subscriptions. Why?

Either it is billed inside an Apple One bundle, it is billed by a third party (Google Play, Amazon, or a carrier promotion), or it is on a different Apple Account - for example a family member's. Check each of those before assuming it is cancelled.

Why is APPLE.COM/BILL on my bank statement?
