Phone lookup
How to cancel your WhoEasy subscription
WhoEasy is a reverse phone lookup site whose business model is a cheap short trial that converts into a recurring monthly membership — reported as a roughly week-long trial for under a dollar rolling into a monthly plan around the $20–27 range depending on tier. Many people run one number lookup, forget the trial, and later find recurring WHOEASY.COM charges. Cancelling means closing the membership in the account, or going through support if you can't log in.
On your statement it usually appears as WHOEASY.COM, WHOEASY.COM CA, WHOEASY CO M. Not sure the charge is really WhoEasy? Identify it first.
Cancel from your WhoEasy account
- Log in at whoeasy.com with the email you used for the lookup.
- Open My Account and select your membership/plan.
- Choose Change Plan, then Cancel My Membership, and confirm.
- Screenshot the confirmation screen and keep any confirmation email.
Cancel through support (works without a usable login)
- Call customer service at 888-744-0149 and ask them to cancel the membership and stop all billing.
- Or email customerservice@whoeasy.com from the address you signed up with, stating you want the membership cancelled and billing stopped.
- If you never created a password or don't know the account email, give support the charge date, amount, and the descriptor from your statement so they can locate the account from your card.
- Ask explicitly for written confirmation that the account is cancelled and no further charges will occur.
Cancel an iPhone-billed trial
- If you started the trial through the iOS app, open Settings > your Apple ID > Subscriptions.
- Find WhoEasy and tap Cancel Subscription before the trial period ends.
Refunds, timing and what you'll still be charged
Cancelling stops future billing but WhoEasy does not automatically refund past months. If the trial converted before you meant to cancel, ask support (phone or email) for a refund of the conversion charge — request it in writing so you have a record. Complaint boards show people billed for many months without realizing; in that situation ask support to refund the unauthorized period first, and if they refuse or don't respond, dispute the recurring charges with your card issuer as an unauthorized recurring subscription and consider an FTC or BBB complaint.
Watch out for these
- The sub-dollar trial for a single phone lookup converts to a recurring monthly membership automatically — the trial window is only about a week.
- The statement descriptor may render oddly (variants like WHOEASY CO M or WHOEASY.COM CA), so it isn't always obvious the charge is a phone-lookup site.
- Many charged users don't remember creating an account because the signup was a one-time number lookup; the subscription still exists and keeps billing.
- iOS-billed trials must be cancelled in Apple's subscription settings — emailing WhoEasy won't stop Apple billing.
Cancellation flows change — confirm against WhoEasy's current account or help page (official help).
After you cancel: make sure it stuck
- Keep the cancellation confirmation (screenshot or email) — you'll need it if billing continues.
- Check the next two statements for any WHOEASY descriptor; a post-confirmation charge is grounds for a card dispute.
- If you gave support your card details to locate the account, confirm they also removed the card from the account.
- Generate a paper trail with the free cancellation-letter tool — useful if billing continues and you need proof.
- If it keeps charging after you cancel, follow the escalation playbook before disputing.
While you're at it — find the ones you forgot
WhoEasy is rarely the only recurring charge. Upload a statement and find every subscription — trials that converted, quiet price rises, duplicates — each with its yearly cost, so you can clear them in one sitting.

WhoEasy cancellation FAQs
What is this WHOEASY.COM charge on my card?
It's a membership at WhoEasy, a reverse phone lookup site. It usually starts as a cheap trial taken to look up one phone number, which auto-converts to a monthly plan unless cancelled during the trial.
How do I cancel if I never set up a login?
Contact support directly — call 888-744-0149 or email customerservice@whoeasy.com — and give them the charge date, amount, and statement descriptor so they can find the account tied to your card. Ask for written cancellation confirmation.
Can I get months of old charges back?
Ask WhoEasy support for a refund first and keep the request in writing. If they refuse or don't respond, dispute the recurring charges with your bank as an unauthorized subscription; card issuers commonly claw back at least recent months of such charges.
Is a WhoEasy charge fraud?
Usually it's not card theft — it's a trial-to-subscription conversion from a phone lookup you (or someone in your household) ran. Cancel the membership first; treat it as fraud with your bank only if the company can't find any account matching your details.
Why is WHOEASY.COM on my bank statement?
That descriptor is WhoEasy (phone lookup). If you don't recognise it, confirm any charge with our free lookup before cancelling or disputing — descriptors often name a biller or platform rather than the service itself.
WhoEasy is still charging me after I cancelled — what now?
First check you cancelled in the right place: if you subscribed through Apple, Google, Amazon or a TV provider, the service's own website can't stop that billing. If it still charges, keep your cancellation confirmation and follow our guide for a subscription that keeps charging after you cancel — and only dispute with your bank as a last resort.
