How to cancel your Peacock subscription

Peacock is NBCUniversal's streaming service, with Premium and Premium Plus paid tiers. Statement confusion is common because many people first got Peacock free through Xfinity or another cable partner and only later started being billed, and because the descriptor can carry NBCUniversal or PayPal prefixes that do not obviously say Peacock.

On your statement it usually appears as PEACOCK, PEACOCK TV, PEACOCKTV, NBCUNIVERSAL PEACOCK, PEACOCK PREMIUM, PAYPAL *PEACOCK. Not sure the charge is really Peacock? Identify it first.

Cancel on the Peacock website

Sign in at peacocktv.com in a web or mobile browser.
Click your avatar or profile icon in the top right and choose Account.
Under Plans & Payment, choose Change or Cancel Plan.
Select Cancel Plan and follow the prompts (including the reason survey) to confirm.
Your plan stays active until the next billing date, then stops renewing.

The browser flow is the reliable path — the apps generally send you to your account page or your device's store rather than cancelling directly.

If you're billed through Apple, Google Play, Roku or Amazon

Apple: open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then Subscriptions, select Peacock and cancel.
Google Play: open the Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Peacock and cancel.
Roku: highlight the Peacock channel on the home screen, press the star button, choose Manage subscription, then cancel.
Amazon: sign in to Amazon's Memberships and Subscriptions page in a browser, find Peacock and choose Cancel Subscription.

If Peacock came through Xfinity, Spectrum or another partner

Check whether the subscription is a free or discounted perk attached to your internet or TV plan — perks often need no cancellation and cost nothing.
If the partner bills you for an upgrade (for example Premium Plus), cancel through that provider's account portal or customer service, not on peacocktv.com.
If the perk expired and converted to paid billing, the biller shown on your statement is who you cancel with.

Refunds, timing and what you'll still be charged

Peacock does not refund unused time: cancelling stops the renewal but your paid plan runs until the next billing date, so cancelling early in the cycle buys nothing back. Annual plans stay active until the end of the prepaid year with no prorated refund. Peacock offers no pause feature, but if you change your mind before the period ends there is a Restart Subscription option on the account page. Store-billed subscriptions (Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku) follow those platforms' refund rules.

Watch out for these

Free-with-cable Peacock is the classic trap: a perk from Xfinity or another partner can lapse or be upgraded, and billing then starts through the partner, not Peacock — the cancel button on peacocktv.com will not exist for those accounts.
Cancelling does not delete the account: you drop to a signed-in free experience and your details remain; deleting the account entirely requires Peacock's separate privacy request form.
Annual plans renew as a single yearly charge that is easy to forget and is not refunded mid-term.
There is no pause option, so a retention discount or full cancellation are the only ways to stop the monthly charge.

Cancellation flows change — confirm against Peacock's current account or help page (official help).

After you cancel: make sure it stuck

Confirm the Plans & Payment section of your account now shows the plan ending on the next billing date instead of renewing.
Keep the cancellation confirmation email.
Check the next statement for PEACOCK, NBCUNIVERSAL or partner-billed lines (Xfinity, Roku, Amazon, Apple) — a continuing charge means a different biller holds the subscription.
Generate a paper trail with the free cancellation-letter tool — useful if billing continues and you need proof.

Why am I being charged for Peacock when it came free with Xfinity?

Free-Peacock promotions through cable and internet partners are time-limited or tied to specific plans. When the promotion ends, or you upgraded to a paid tier, billing starts — usually through the partner. Check your Xfinity (or other provider) account for the subscription and cancel it there.

Can I cancel Peacock in the app?

The dependable route is a browser: sign in at peacocktv.com, open Account, then Plans & Payment, then Change or Cancel Plan. If a device store bills you (Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon), cancel in that store's subscription settings instead.

Does Peacock refund unused months if I cancel?

No. Peacock does not refund unused time on monthly or annual plans — you keep access until the current period ends, and the plan does not renew. If a store bills you, that store's own refund policy applies.

What happens to my Peacock account after I cancel?

The paid plan ends at the next billing date and the account remains as a free signed-in account, with a Restart Subscription option if you return. Deleting the account and its data is a separate request made through Peacock's privacy form.
