How to cancel your Paramount+ subscription

Paramount+ is Paramount's streaming service, formerly CBS All Access, and the old branding still leaks into statement descriptors — a CBS-prefixed charge is often a Paramount+ subscription that predates the rename. It is sold directly, through app stores, through Amazon Prime Video Channels, and bundled with Walmart+, so the biller on your statement frequently is not Paramount at all.

On your statement it usually appears as PARAMOUNT+, PARAMOUNTPLUS.COM, PAR*PARAMOUNT PLUS, CBS*PARAMOUNT+, VIACOMCBS PARAMOUNT PLUS, CBS ALL ACCESS. Not sure the charge is really Paramount+? Identify it first.

Cancel on the Paramount+ website

Sign in at paramountplus.com in a browser.
Click your username or profile in the top right and choose Account.
Scroll to the Cancel subscription option.
Follow the prompts, declining any retention offers, until you see cancellation confirmed.

This only works for subscriptions billed directly by Paramount+. If there is no cancel option, a third party bills you.

If you're billed through Apple, Google Play or Apple TV

Apple (iPhone/iPad): open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, select Paramount+ and choose Cancel Subscription.
Apple TV: open Settings, then Users and Accounts, select your account, open Subscriptions, select Paramount+ and cancel.
Google Play: open the Play Store, tap your profile, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Paramount+ and cancel.

If you're billed through Amazon, Roku or Walmart+

Amazon Prime Video Channels: from your Amazon account open Memberships and Subscriptions, find Paramount+ under Prime Video Channels, and choose Cancel Channel.
Roku: from the Roku home screen highlight the Paramount+ channel, press the star button, choose Manage subscription, then Cancel subscription.
Walmart+: Paramount+ that comes as a Walmart+ benefit is controlled by the Walmart+ membership — cancel or pause Walmart+ itself, or the benefit continues.

Refunds, timing and what you'll still be charged

Paramount+ does not refund or credit the unused part of a billing period: cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the current cycle, then billing stops. Annual plans run the same way — cancelling mid-year leaves the service active until the prepaid year ends, with no prorated refund for the remaining months. Reported exceptions are narrow (technical faults, accidental renewals raised promptly with support), and third-party billers such as Apple or Amazon handle refunds under their own policies.

Watch out for these

Legacy branding: charges labelled CBS, CBS All Access or ViacomCBS are usually a Paramount+ subscription under an old descriptor — cancelling requires the same Paramount account.
You must cancel on the platform that bills you; the Paramount+ website cannot cancel an Apple, Amazon, Roku or Google-billed plan, and the account page may only be manageable from where you signed up.
Paramount+ has no pause feature, so the only way to stop billing is a full cancellation.
If Paramount+ arrived as a Walmart+ perk, there is nothing to cancel on Paramount's side — the benefit follows the Walmart+ membership.

Cancellation flows change — confirm against Paramount+'s current account or help page (official help).

After you cancel: make sure it stuck

Look for the cancellation confirmation email and screenshot the confirmation screen with the end date.
Sign back in to the account page and confirm the plan shows as cancelled or expiring rather than renewing.
On the next statement, check for PARAMOUNT, CBS and AMAZON DIGITAL or APPLE.COM/BILL lines around your usual billing date — a surviving charge points to a second subscription or the wrong biller being cancelled.

Why does my statement say CBS when I pay for Paramount+?

Paramount+ used to be CBS All Access, and some payment descriptors were never updated. CBS*PARAMOUNT+ and similar lines are normal for accounts that date back to the CBS era, and occasionally for newer ones depending on the bank.

Can I cancel Paramount+ through the app?

Only indirectly. If Apple or Google bills you, cancel in your device's subscription settings. If Paramount bills you directly, use a browser and cancel from the Account page — the smart TV and mobile apps do not offer a direct cancel for web-billed plans.

Do I get a refund if I cancel a Paramount+ annual plan early?

No prorated refund. The service stays live until the end of the year you prepaid, and then does not renew. If the annual charge is very recent, contact support promptly — refunds close to the charge date are handled case by case.

How do I cancel Paramount+ that I added through Amazon Prime?

It is a Prime Video Channel, so Amazon bills it. Go to Amazon's Memberships and Subscriptions page, find Paramount+ under Prime Video Channels, and choose Cancel Channel. Cancelling on paramountplus.com will not stop an Amazon-billed channel.

Why is PARAMOUNT+ on my bank statement?

That descriptor is Paramount+ (video streaming). If you don't recognise it, confirm any charge with our free lookup before cancelling or disputing — descriptors often name a biller or platform rather than the service itself.

Paramount+ is still charging me after I cancelled — what now?

First check you cancelled in the right place: if you subscribed through Apple, Google, Amazon or a TV provider, the service's own website can't stop that billing.
