How to cancel your NFL+ / NFL Sunday Ticket subscription

The NFL sells several separate subscriptions, and each one is cancelled in a different place. NFL+ and NFL+ Premium are billed through your NFL.com account (or through Apple/Google if you subscribed in the app), while NFL Sunday Ticket is sold by YouTube and billed by Google, so it must be cancelled through YouTube TV or YouTube Primetime Channels. Both products auto-renew, and Sunday Ticket's season pass renews at full retail price before the next season starts.

On your statement it usually appears as NFL.COM/PLUS, RECUR NFL.COM/PLUS, GOOGLE *YouTube TV, GOOGLE*YOUTUBE, APPLE.COM/BILL. Not sure the charge is really NFL+ / NFL Sunday Ticket? Identify it first.

Cancel NFL+ on NFL.com (direct subscriptions)

  1. Go to NFL.com and sign in, then open your Account page.
  2. Click the arrow next to NFL Subscriptions to open Manage Subscriptions.
  3. Select Manage Subscription next to your NFL+ plan.
  4. On the "We're sorry to see you go" screen, choose a cancellation reason and click Cancel.
  5. You keep access through the end of the current billing period.

This only works if you subscribed directly on NFL.com. If you don't see a cancel option, your billing is through an app store.

Cancel NFL+ billed through Apple or Google

  1. iPhone/iPad: Settings > your Apple ID > Subscriptions > NFL > Cancel Subscription.
  2. Android: Google Play Store > profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > NFL > Cancel.
  3. Deleting the NFL app does not cancel the subscription.

Cancel NFL Sunday Ticket (sold via YouTube TV)

  1. On a web browser, go to tv.youtube.com and sign in (renewal cannot be cancelled from the YouTube TV app).
  2. Click your profile icon, then Settings.
  3. Under Memberships, click MANAGE next to NFL Sunday Ticket.
  4. Click CANCEL next to your next billing date, then confirm with YES, CANCEL.
  5. Watch for the confirmation email from YouTube.

If you bought Sunday Ticket on YouTube Primetime Channels (without YouTube TV), manage it under youtube.com purchases and memberships instead. You cannot cancel the add-on while your YouTube TV membership is paused.

Refunds, timing and what you'll still be charged

NFL+ cancellation stops the renewal but does not refund the current period; you keep access until the billing period ends. Sunday Ticket season-pass renewal payments are described by YouTube as non-refundable, and plan changes can't be made after the auto-renewal payment processes, so the only reliable protection is turning off renewal before the charge date. App-store purchases follow Apple's or Google's refund policies, which are handled through those stores, not the NFL.

Watch out for these

  • Sunday Ticket auto-renews at full retail price before the next season — typically weeks before kickoff — even if you bought it at a promotional price.
  • NFL+ and Sunday Ticket are separate products from separate companies; cancelling one does nothing to the other.
  • Sunday Ticket renewal can only be cancelled in a web browser, not in the YouTube TV app, and not while your YouTube TV base plan is paused.
  • If NFL.com shows no cancel option, your NFL+ billing lives in Apple or Google's subscription settings — the NFL can't cancel it for you.

Cancellation flows change — confirm against NFL+ / NFL Sunday Ticket's current account or help page (official help).

After you cancel: make sure it stuck

  • Check for a cancellation confirmation email (from NFL, Apple, Google, or YouTube depending on where you cancelled).
  • Re-open the subscription page and confirm it shows as cancelled or non-renewing with an end date.
  • Watch your statement around the old renewal date for NFL.COM/PLUS or GOOGLE *YouTube TV charges.
  • Generate a paper trail with the free cancellation-letter tool — useful if billing continues and you need proof.
  • If it keeps charging after you cancel, follow the escalation playbook before disputing.

While you're at it — find the ones you forgot

NFL+ / NFL Sunday Ticket is rarely the only recurring charge. Upload a statement and find every subscription — trials that converted, quiet price rises, duplicates — each with its yearly cost, so you can clear them in one sitting.

Questions

NFL+ / NFL Sunday Ticket cancellation FAQs

Why am I still being charged after deleting the NFL app?

Deleting the app never cancels a subscription. Cancel in the place that bills you: NFL.com Manage Subscriptions for direct purchases, or Apple/Google subscription settings for app-store purchases.

I cancelled NFL+ — why is there still a GOOGLE *YouTube TV charge?

That charge is NFL Sunday Ticket or YouTube TV, which is billed by Google, not the NFL. Cancel it at tv.youtube.com under Settings > Memberships.

Do I lose access immediately when I cancel NFL+?

No. Renewal stops right away, but you keep access through the end of the billing period you already paid for.

Can I get a refund if Sunday Ticket auto-renewed for the new season?

YouTube states renewal payments are non-refundable, though you can contact YouTube TV support promptly to ask. The safer move is cancelling renewal before the charge, which you can do any time from Settings > Memberships.

Why is NFL.COM/PLUS on my bank statement?

That descriptor is NFL+ / NFL Sunday Ticket (sports streaming). If you don't recognise it, confirm any charge with our free lookup before cancelling or disputing — descriptors often name a biller or platform rather than the service itself.

NFL+ / NFL Sunday Ticket is still charging me after I cancelled — what now?

First check you cancelled in the right place: if you subscribed through Apple, Google, Amazon or a TV provider, the service's own website can't stop that billing. If it still charges, keep your cancellation confirmation and follow our guide for a subscription that keeps charging after you cancel — and only dispute with your bank as a last resort.
