How to cancel your Peloton subscription

Peloton has two distinct subscriptions with different cancel paths: the All-Access Membership tied to Peloton hardware (Bike, Tread, Row, Guide), and the standalone Peloton App membership for people without equipment. Both can be cancelled from your Peloton account if Peloton bills you directly, but app memberships started through Apple or Google must be cancelled in that app store — cancelling on Peloton's website will not stop an app-store subscription. Peloton's terms direct members to onepeloton.com/mymembership or Member Support at 1-866-679-9129.

On your statement it usually appears as PELOTON, PELOTON INTERACTIVE, PEL-MEMBERSHIP, APPLE.COM/BILL (app-store billed), GOOGLE *PELOTON (app-store billed). Not sure the charge is really Peloton? Identify it first.

Cancel the All-Access Membership (hardware)

  1. Go to onepeloton.com/mymembership (or members.onepeloton.com) and sign in as the primary account holder.
  2. Click your profile icon and open Memberships.
  3. Select Cancel Membership next to your All-Access plan.
  4. Complete the prompts (including any exit survey) and confirm.
  5. Watch for Peloton's confirmation email — that is your proof.

You can also cancel by calling Peloton Member Support at 1-866-679-9129.

Cancel the Peloton App membership (billed by Peloton)

  1. Sign in at onepeloton.com/mymembership with the account that pays for the app subscription.
  2. Open Memberships from your profile menu.
  3. Select Cancel next to the app membership and confirm.

Cancel an app membership billed through Apple or Google

  1. Apple: open Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone/iPad, select Peloton, and tap Cancel Subscription.
  2. Google: open the Play Store, go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, select Peloton, and cancel.
  3. Confirm the subscription shows an end date in the store's subscription list.

If you subscribed through an app store, only that store can cancel it — Peloton's website cannot. The store's own refund policy applies.

Pause All-Access instead of cancelling

  1. Sign in to your membership settings at onepeloton.com/mymembership.
  2. Choose the pause option for your All-Access Membership.
  3. Peloton pauses for one month, with the option to extend for one additional month; the pause starts at your next billing cycle.
  4. Billing resumes automatically when the pause ends unless you cancel; you can unpause anytime.

While paused you cannot access Peloton content on your equipment or in the app.

Refunds, timing and what you'll still be charged

Peloton's membership terms state that after cancelling you can keep using the membership until the end of the current billing period, and it simply doesn't renew — there is no prorated refund for the unused part of a billing period. Peloton's terms carve out specific cancellation and refund rights for certain New York and Canadian residents, so check the terms if that applies to you. If you are on a Committed Membership (a fixed-term deal, often tied to discounted hardware), the terms say you remain responsible for outstanding fees for the rest of the committed period even after cancelling. App-store subscriptions follow Apple's or Google's refund rules instead of Peloton's.

Watch out for these

  • Cancelling on Peloton's website does nothing if you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play — the charge continues until you cancel in that store.
  • The pause is temporary by design: billing restarts automatically after the pause window, so a pause you forget about becomes a charge.
  • Committed Membership terms survive cancellation — you still owe the remaining committed fees.
  • Only the primary account holder can cancel the All-Access Membership, so a household member seeing the charge may not be able to stop it from their own profile.

Cancellation flows change — confirm against Peloton's current account or help page (official help).

After you cancel: make sure it stuck

  • Confirm you received Peloton's cancellation email and keep it.
  • Check that your membership page shows the plan ending at the current period's end rather than renewing.
  • After the period ends, check your statement (and your Apple/Google subscription list if billed there) for any new PELOTON charge.
  • Generate a paper trail with the free cancellation-letter tool — useful if billing continues and you need proof.
  • If it keeps charging after you cancel, follow the escalation playbook before disputing.

While you're at it — find the ones you forgot

Peloton is rarely the only recurring charge. Upload a statement and find every subscription — trials that converted, quiet price rises, duplicates — each with its yearly cost, so you can clear them in one sitting.

Questions

Peloton cancellation FAQs

What's the difference between cancelling All-Access and cancelling the Peloton App?

All-Access is the membership tied to Peloton hardware and is cancelled through your Peloton account (onepeloton.com/mymembership) or Member Support. The app membership is cancelled the same way only if Peloton bills you directly — if you subscribed via Apple or Google, you must cancel in that app store instead.

Do I get a refund for the rest of the month when I cancel Peloton?

No. Peloton's terms say your membership stays active until the end of the current billing period and is not renewed after that — there is no prorated refund, with limited exceptions for certain New York and Canadian residents.

Can I pause my Peloton membership instead of cancelling?

All-Access members can pause for one month and extend for one more. The pause begins at the next billing cycle, content access is blocked while paused, and billing resumes automatically when the pause ends.

What happens to my workout history if I cancel?

Cancelling stops billing but your Peloton account itself remains, so your profile and history are retained by Peloton and available if you resubscribe. Deleting your account entirely is a separate request to Peloton.

Why is PELOTON on my bank statement?

That descriptor is Peloton (fitness subscription). If you don't recognise it, confirm any charge with our free lookup before cancelling or disputing — descriptors often name a biller or platform rather than the service itself.

Peloton is still charging me after I cancelled — what now?

First check you cancelled in the right place: if you subscribed through Apple, Google, Amazon or a TV provider, the service's own website can't stop that billing. If it still charges, keep your cancellation confirmation and follow our guide for a subscription that keeps charging after you cancel — and only dispute with your bank as a last resort.
