How to cancel your Disney+ subscription
Disney+ is Disney's streaming service, sold on its own or in bundles with Hulu and ESPN. The statement line confuses people because it sometimes carries a payment-processor prefix (ADY* for Adyen) or shows as a generic Disney subscription or bundle charge, so one line can cover two or three services. Monthly and annual billing both exist, so a single large yearly charge often gets mistaken for an error.
On your statement it usually appears as DISNEYPLUS.COM, DISNEY PLUS, ADY*DISNEYPLUS, DISNEY*SUBSCRIPTION, DISNEY BUNDLE. Not sure the charge is really Disney+? Identify it first.
Cancel on the Disney+ website
- Sign in at disneyplus.com in a computer or mobile browser — the smart TV app cannot cancel.
- Select your profile icon in the top right, then Account.
- Under Subscription, select your plan.
- Choose Cancel Subscription.
- Pick a reason for cancelling (the survey is optional) and complete the final confirmation step.
- Watch for the cancellation confirmation email to the address registered on the account.
Cancelling the subscription does not delete your Disney+ profile or the MyDisney login used across other Disney services.
If you're billed through Apple, Google or another store
- Check who bills you first: your Disney+ Account page names the billing party under Subscription.
- Apple: open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then Subscriptions, select Disney+ and cancel.
- Google Play: open the Play Store, tap your profile, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Disney+ and cancel.
- Amazon or Roku billing: cancel from Amazon's Memberships and Subscriptions page, or from the Roku channel's Manage subscription option.
- If Disney+ came free or discounted through a mobile carrier or TV provider promotion, manage or cancel it through that provider.
If you have a Disney bundle with Hulu or ESPN
- You cannot drop a single service from a bundle — cancelling ends the whole bundle.
- Cancel the bundle from your Disney+ Account page under Subscription.
- After the current billing period ends, resubscribe to just the service you want directly on that service's own site.
Refunds, timing and what you'll still be charged
Disney+ does not prorate. When you cancel, access continues until the end of the current billing period — for annual plans that means until the end of the prepaid year, with no refund for the remaining months. Support has been known to consider refunds shortly after a new charge (commonly described as a roughly seven-day window), but this is discretionary rather than a published on-demand right, so treat cancellation as effective at period end.
Watch out for these
- You cannot cancel from the smart TV app — you need a browser, or the store that bills you.
- Bundles are all-or-nothing: cancelling Disney+ in a bundle also ends Hulu and ESPN access on that plan.
- Annual plans renew as one large yearly charge, and cancelling mid-year does not trigger a refund for unused months.
- Cancelling the subscription does not close your MyDisney account, so emails and stored payment details persist unless you delete the account separately.
Cancellation flows change — confirm against Disney+'s current account or help page (official help).
After you cancel: make sure it stuck
- Check for the cancellation confirmation email from Disney+.
- Reopen Account, and confirm the Subscription section shows an end date instead of a next-billing date.
- On your next statement, check for DISNEYPLUS, ADY*DISNEYPLUS and DISNEY BUNDLE lines — a bundle charge continuing means the cancel happened on the wrong service or account.
- Generate a paper trail with the free cancellation-letter tool — useful if billing continues and you need proof.
- If it keeps charging after you cancel, follow the escalation playbook before disputing.
While you're at it — find the ones you forgot
Disney+ is rarely the only recurring charge. Upload a statement and find every subscription — trials that converted, quiet price rises, duplicates — each with its yearly cost, so you can clear them in one sitting.

Disney+ cancellation FAQs
Why can't I find the cancel button on Disney+?
Usually because you are billed by a third party. If you subscribed through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku or a carrier promotion, the cancel option lives with that biller, and the Disney+ Account page will point you to them instead of showing a cancel button. It also will not appear in the smart TV app.
If I cancel Disney+ do I lose Hulu too?
Only if they are on the same bundle. Bundles cancel as a unit, so cancelling ends every service in the plan at the end of the billing period. If you pay for Hulu separately, it is unaffected.
Do I get a refund if I cancel a Disney+ annual plan?
No prorated refund. You keep access until the end of the year you already paid for, and the plan simply does not renew. Refunds outside a short window after a fresh charge are at support's discretion.
Does cancelling Disney+ delete my account?
No. The subscription ends but your Disney+ and MyDisney accounts remain, including watch history and payment details. Deleting the account itself is a separate process through Disney's account or privacy pages.
Why is DISNEYPLUS.COM on my bank statement?
That descriptor is Disney+ (video streaming). If you don't recognise it, confirm any charge with our free lookup before cancelling or disputing — descriptors often name a biller or platform rather than the service itself.
Disney+ is still charging me after I cancelled — what now?
First check you cancelled in the right place: if you subscribed through Apple, Google, Amazon or a TV provider, the service's own website can't stop that billing. If it still charges, keep your cancellation confirmation and follow our guide for a subscription that keeps charging after you cancel — and only dispute with your bank as a last resort.
